This film is presented as a single shot for the duration of a 100 minutes (no visible cuts), because it is one thought, one breath, one situation in a man’s life; and it all happens in real-time.
This film is about Anton, a drifter, an imposter, an American in Berlin, who wants to kill a serbian war criminal, in order to prove to Lili, the woman he loves, that he has finally changed.
It’s also about Anton – A guy who believes his girlfriend has been raped – but she is not his girlfriend – she has not been raped – never the less, he’s gonna go and try to convince everyone, including the police, it actually happened; And then find the guy who did it and punish him.
In general it’s a dark emotional tail based on one haunting feeling – When you separate from someone you love – you want them to be hurt, so you can save them.
There is no separation between what’s imaginary and what’s real in this story. The film documents a borderline condition and presents an ensemble of characters that leave us wondering if they truely exist.
Anton, the lead, wants to have important trouble and he gets into plenty. We meet him when he is drifting through town with a friend and follow his peculiar behavior. In the course of two hours, we follow his spiral into madness and fantasy, only to find out we have been there all along.

How it’s shot
Shooting in the streets of the bustling multi lingual East Berlin neighborhoods, where clubs and bars are open all night, and young people mix with Turkish families.
Technically the film is shot straight to Hard-Drive on HD and transferred to film.
Conceptually the shooting style is very realistic and mostly hand held, in order to keep the real-time feel of the film even when we regress into fantasy and imagination.

Deshe wrote with Ryan Gosling the film “The Lord’s Resistance” – a feature film about Child Soldiers in Uganda, currently in pre-production and is executive produced by Terence Malick.
Has recently done documentary work and Research with Benicio Del Toro and Terence Malick On the “CHE project under the title and “GUERRILLA” to be directed by Steven Soderbergh.
He also collaborated with Bob Odenkirck and Juliette Lewis on various projects.

Die weltweit bekannte Video-Künstlerin Pipilotti Rist wagt sich endlich an ein abendfüllendes Kino-Werk heran. Ein poetischer und knalliger Film entsteht. Er lehnt sich stilistisch und thematisch an das bisherige Schaffen der Künstlerin an und wird schräg in der internationalen Filmszene stehen.

Pipilotti braucht Statisten

Videokünstlerin Pipilotti Rist hats auf die Badi-Gäste abgesehen. Beim Eingang zum Heuried hängt ein Aufruf zum Statisten-Casting für ihren ersten Spielfilm “Pepperminta”. Gesucht werden Kinder und Erwachsene; Pipilotti rechnet wohl mit einem grossen Ansturm, das Casting dauert drei Tage. Der Film wird zwischen dem 10. August und dem 4. September in der Region Zürich gedreht.

Mehr durch Zufall gerät Kai Starel in das neu gegründete Institut CC, Carl Celler Culture. Junge, international schon fett angesagte Kreative sind dort zusammen gekommen, um Kunst, Kampagnen, oder irgendetwas dazwischen zu entwickeln. Man nimmt sie dort so wichtig, wie sie sich selber nehmen, versorgt sie mit Kontakten und Geld, um am Thema LOGO UND TIERE zu arbeiten. Eine Liebesgeschichte, die auf der Stelle tritt. Und das irgendwo zwischen Kunst, kulturellem Kapital, Marketing.
